If you are having trouble logging in to Torch Awards, following are some troubleshooting tips:
In General
- Session cookies are required for you to be able to log on. Check your browsers settings and make sure that you have
session cookies (at the very least) turned on. With out that you will not be able to log on.
Local Advisors
- Your login user name and password is the same as it is for every other portion of this system.
You do not have a separate user name and password for the Torch Awards.
- Once logged in, you will be able to view, re-view, add, change, and delete activity entries for all of your students.
- Be sure that you select Local Advisor from the "I am a" drop down list.
- NOTE: If your students are having trouble getting in, and you have assigned them a password, you may
edit their membership record by logging on to your membership functions. While the password is masked,
you may still edit and change it if you wish. Simply click the edit link beside the student who's
password you wish to change.
Students
- Your user name is your 12 digit member ID. It is in the format xx-xxxx-xxxx.
If you do not know your member ID, ask your advisor. He/She may access this information from the
membership registration screen.
- Your advisor may or may not have assigned you a Torch Awards password at the time he/she registered
you as a BPA Member. Ask your advisor if he/she assigned you a password, and if so, what that password is.
- If your teacher did not assign a password to you, you can assign yourself one here:
Update E-mail Address/Torch Awards Password. Just follow the directions on the screen.
- Be sure that you select Student from the "I am a" drop down list.
State Advisors
- Your log in user name and password is the same as your state advisor login.
You do not have a separate user name and password for the Torch Awards.
- Once logged in, you will be able to review all activities for all of the students in your state.
- Be sure that you select State Advisor from the "I am a" drop down list.
